Arsenal secured their place in the Premier League's top four with a narrow victory over Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners started brightly, creating several chances for themselves before going ahead through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 19th minute. However, the visitors were not to be denied and levelled through Pascal Gross in the 42nd minute.
A tough period for Arsenal followed as they went behind in the 58th minute when Sander Berge found the back of the net from close range. But the Gunners refused to give up and fought back to take the lead once again through Aubameyang in the 66th minute.
It was a tense final quarter of the match but Arsenal held on to claim all three points and move into third place in the table. They now have a game in hand over Manchester United who play at West Ham next weekend.
Overall, it was a well-deserved victory for Arsenal and one that will boost their confidence heading into the final stages of the season. With just two games left to play, they can still push for a top-four finish if they continue to perform at this level.
